The valley de Cocora in Quindio near the community Salento has a beautiful green landscape. We stayed in farm hotel Finca BOSQUES DE COCORA "DONDE JUANB" . We were almost the only guests and the evenings and nights gave complete silence. The nights are really cold but the sunset with wonderful colors and fog make it all worthwhile. We took a horse to visit the valley with hummingbirds.
To our surprise a calf, which yesterday was happily feed by the Majordomo himself, was expertly caught with a lasso and in 50 minutes turned into meat for sausages. This was something one seldom encounters as a city dweller. But this is how rural life is.
