Semana Santa (the holy week) in Mompox is each year one of the two great events. The other one is the jazz festival. Semana Santa is a wonderful tradition and a privilege to attend.

With Semana Santa, all hotels are sold out long before the event happens. The whole village is occupied when organizing and happily celebrating Easter.
